I've tried all of the published codes. Anyone have the correct 5 digit code? Thanks.

Might be useful to know what model remote you have.

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far. |

Sorry, thought i put it in there- it's the Sony DBP-DX18 Thanks. The remote is a Universal Electronics (Charter Communications) c4000/s4000.

20533 For many UEI remotes, the leading "2" denotes a video code. The "0533" is the actual setup code. Are you familiar with the UEI support site?

yes- I exhausted all of the sites before posting this as my last ditch effort. I've tried all of the codes they published. The tv remote accepted the dvd code and operates the dvd just fine. But the charter cable remote is not accepting any of the codes for the dvd player. Thanks

If you mean that the Charter remote doesn't blink twice after you enter in 20533, either 1) the entry procedure was wrong, 2) the remote has setup code lock enabled for the device button you're trying to program, or 3) the remote is broken.
Regarding 2) setup code lock, this is typical on cable remotes, but it is usually invoked only on the cable device button. However, many cable remotes have the capability to lock setup codes on other device buttons. Try using the 982 command (page 17 of the manual) to unlock the setup code for the DVD button. Press DVD instead of CBL before performing the 982 procedure.
