I am trying to set up a Philips Pronto RU940 programmable remote control to use with my Quad 77 preamplifier.

The user manual shows setting it up by downloading the settings wirelessly from the original remote control.
I have never had an original Quad remote control however, & have no knowledge of how it would have originally been set up.

The manual also states that the device can be set up using a PC & their own ProntoEdit software.

So far I have downloaded ProntoEdit4 from this website (Remotecentral.com), & connected the RU 940 to my PC with the cable supplied.

From the same website I have also downloaded a CCF file, submitted to the site by Jason Frear, which I understand to contain the settings for a Quad 77 system.

Although I have the instructions for ProntoEdit, I am still having problems in setting up the device.
I have downloaded the CCF file using the software, but what now?
The remote does not appear to show any settings from the CCF file.

HI Mared.

I haven't yet set up my Pronto but believe the Pronto software works best with windows XP. On the AV forums website there is some info about doing so on win10 e.g [Link: avforums.com] .
On the same site there are other posts about various workarounds for the different pronto models and windows editions.
