Hi,
I have Philips Universal remote SRU 5150 which has a single RED button for 'ON' and 'OFF' and have a Yamaha Amplier which remote has separate button for ON and OFF. is there any spare button on the Philips remote that can be programmed to set as 'OFF' as i have tried with Learning key on Philips but it can be operated in one way i.e if it gets 'ON' it cannot be made 'OFF and vice versa.

Does the SRU5150 have the Yamaha in its database? There may be a power toggle code. Otherwise, if it's not in the database and you don't have access to such a code elsewhere, you might just have to use 2 keys for those functions.

With only a power toggle button on the Philips, I would imagine that all the database entries would utilise power toggle codes rather than discrete on/off codes, which by definition would require two buttons.

Following the instructions for Learning key functions just learn the on code to, say, the POWER button and the off code to the FAV button; chosen only because of it's being directly below the power button and easy to remember. Obviously if you need that button for something else, just use any "redundant" button, assuming of course there is one.

Hi,
I have got a STB KAON device, the remote is able to detect the DISH TV by selecting AV button on the SRU 5150 remote but i am unable to change any channels of the Dish TV. I tried to Learn the channel up and down key but still unable to change the channel. what could be the issue.

This may sound a bit obvious, but having selected the TV input are you remembering to change the 5150 device setting to operate the STB?
