I have a universal remote that can control my TV but not my DVD.

I know that TV setup code 0033 operates my Sharp TV. I don't know what setup code runs my Philips DVD player. Yes, I've tried all the Philips DVD codes in the manual that came with my remote, no joy.

What I want is a query that will display all remotes that associate setup code "0033" with Sharp TVs. I'll then try the setup codes they list for Philips DVDs, and see if I get lucky.
Background...

So I got to thinking, I bet {company}
doesn't always develop/manufacture the remote they include with their equipment. They want to concentrate on their base product, so they farm out the remote.

{company} finds someone in the RC manufacturing business and asks them to build a remote with the buttons/layout {company} wants. The RC manufacture might say "We will use the same codes for your remote that we use for our other models, if that's OK."

Now
{company} makes their base product respond to the code set given them by the RC manufacture, and thus RC manufacturer's branded remotes may have most codes in common with the custom remote {company} ships.

If this fortunate event occurs, then I might be able to find the RC manufacturer's code set (used in their branded remote). And the setup code to operate "brand X" TVs and "brand Y" DVDs might be the same for the branded remote and the weird remote
{company} ships.

Knowing these remotes have a lot in common could narrow the search for unknown setup codes.
I can't say I've ever come across such a beastie; others may know better.
