Hello everyone,

Recently, I purchased a used AV Receiver from Goodwill, a Sony STR-DN1000. It works fantastic except it did not come with its original remote (RM-AAP040). I got a generic Sony Receiver remote, but I discovered that some of the buttons I need are exclusive to this receiver.

I found a list of the buttons and the codes for them (found here: [Link: remotecentral.com] ), but I have no idea how to program them to a remote. Any help on where to start to be able to program these would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

If you want to use those codes in that thread, you'll need to enter each one, one at a time, into remote that accepts advanced codes(efc). You can get the Inteset int-433-3 on amazon for $27. It has aud code 32172 on board. use the same directions in that thread.

Or look for similar looking remote, the Insignia ns-rmt-415 on ebay for less.

Big difference between the two is the Inteset has back lighting and is a learning remote.
