My Sharp GA036SB has lost its ability to turn the TV on and off. It does everything else. I thought it must be a hardware problem, so I bought a replacement. Same problem, can't turn the TV on or off with the new one either. Can anyone help? Is there some way to program or reprogram it?

If the replacement hasn't solved the issue, methinks it could be TV related.

Nope -- stupidity on my part. Someone had switched it from "TV" to "CATV". When I switched it back, everything worked perfectly. Now I have an extra remote (:o()

If there is a manual available for this remote, I'd still like to find it.

It's an OEM model that was supplied with several different TVs. The instructions are most likely to be in the manual for the TV.

I haven't, as yet, been able to find a manual.
