I read the posting rules and I hope that it is OK to post this here?
I have programmed a few Pronto remotes over the years for myself (haven't
done one in about 3 years) but need one done for a neighbor of mine.
They are elderly and get up and down to change sources, etc. so I want
to get it working on one remote for them (I have two Pronto TSU7000's
I'm gonna give them). I want both remotes to be exactly the same both
being capable of controlling either room (in case they lose one, have
a problem, etc.). The opening screen would have their name and have
two options FAMILY ROOM or BEDROOM. Hopefully I will be able to take
over and tweak the remotes once I get the main programming and look
completed (as I am going to tell them that I am doing it all for
them...they don't have any money to spend so I need to keep it
inexpensive). What do you think it would cost to do the below (and
how long might it take)?

Here are the specs I copied down when I was there:

Bedroom
- TV is Magnavox 27B515-00AA
- Directv model DRD 222 RD
Favorite channels for both of them 4,5,8,11,206,208,209,819
- Amplifier is ADCOM model GFA 555
- Preamp is ADCOM GFP555
I am not sure that the amp, preamp etc will even work with a remote as
they all are set with knobs.
- Tuner is ADCOM GFT 555
- CD Nakamichi MB4S
- Sony Blue ray DVD BDP S570 Set to DVD/LD
Like to also use Netflicks and Pandora on BlueRay

Family room
- Sharp tv Aquos LC-60E88UN Set to Sat
- Directv plus HD DVR - The directv is set to Sat when it is on
Favorite channels for both of them 4,5,8,11,206,208,209,819
- Sony Blue ray DVD BDP S570 Set to DVD/LD
Like to also use Netflicks and Pandora on BlueRay
- Pioneer Elite reciever VSX 82 TXS
- Logitech duet music set reciever to CD-R/TAPE/MD

Not sure what your price range is, but you can give Total control remotes a try - www.totalcontrolremotes.com. I know they program Pronto remotes among others and hte prices are very reasonable. There is also onlyoneremote.com also. I have never used onlyoneremote but I have used Total cpnotrol remotes and they do a great job.

Good luck,
James

Kevin,

Please contact me at [email protected] and we can discuss. We have done Pronto systems for many years.
