I know I haven't posted much lately due to the new laundrymat I just bought. It's taking a lot my time getting everything rolling smoothly but, I'm glad to be here posting again. I'm running between businesses and barely have time to play Angry Birds.

On a different (job related) note, I'm going to need a remote programmer and coder very soon. As this new laundrymat investment is finishing up, we are preparing for our next project.

.... "remote programmer" as in, "in your office, not mine"....

We are assembling a small team of around 5 people for both web and local software development. We should be starting the development with in 6 months (give or take, as soon I can get this laundrymat staffed).

This is a new startup venture and we are not going to promise anybody the sun and moon. Let's be realistic here. We very well may find this software is not working out or cost effective with in a few months and scrap the project.

I don't mind being perfectly honest about the situation. We are on a tight startup budget with a LOW 6 figure startup investment to develop this software package. We are not paying top dollar but, the right person can do this in their spare time and make some good side cash. We hope to find the right programmer to be with us long term.

The reason I have come here to post this listing is because we need the following type individual.

Someone who...
proficient in most standard A/V control platforms. Crestron, URC, C4, Pronto, Z-wave, RS-232, IR/Hex code...etc. (must be 100% proficient)

understands HVAC t-stats and general hvac operation. (must be 100% proficient in ip based t-stat programing)

understands magnetic and relay controlled door locks. (must be 100% proficient in triggering relays via ip & rs-232 and likewise in relay control boards)

proficient in CCTV/DVR web based operations and programing. (must be 100% proficient)

effective in designing websites, modifying code, HTML, java, flash, etc. (we don't need an expert in this but must be able to effectively modify or provide basic code for modifying web pages)

Understands basic software programing (we don't need an expert in this field, just someone who understands enough to write a line or two)

understand POS equipment and platforms (again, we don't need an expert, just someone who has used POS equipment and/or understands the GUI and data flow)

able to build and program basic web and local databases

integrate any and all of these controls on a web based platform. (off the shelf software or custom website design)

has great communication skills and can effectively relay information and ideas in a team setting.

has an entrepreneuristic, creative and open mind. Open to discussion and debate.

willing to meet online and discuss projects, on your own time, for the reward of programming a software segement for finiancial compensation.

In a nutshell, if it can be considered "home" automation and control we need you to understand it and be able to help implement it into a web based platform.

65% of our programming requirements for this new software are home automation related.

All canidates must have references and examples of work for review. Due to the fact, customer sensitive databases may be accessed, pending copyrights and VPN server access is required; a background check must be passed and an affidavit of confidentiality signed. (No drug testing required, LOL) Standard employement documentation required. This position will be considered "contract labor" and taxed via 1099.

After paperwork is processed, interviews will conducted via online video conference.

Please understand "up front" that programing will be paid upon segment or module completion. We are not going to pay hours upon hours for you to tinker and figure it out. You will participate in an evening online group conference (once every few weeks), we will explain what we need, discuss your thoughts and input for product selection and how it can be interfaced. A fair price will be agreed upon for that programing segment and paid upon completion.

We hope to find the right individual with the right skill set to become a member of this development team.

I don't really know any other way of posting this ad. As I read over it, it appears that we are wanting a rocket scientist and trying to get a programmer for nothing. That's not the case, I promise. We just need someone who can participate in online conferences and listen to our ideas, and let thier ideas flow. If we think we can do it, we will discuss how much it will cost. You write/program it. We check it out and make sure it's ok. We make any changes needed. We agree it's all good. Money is in the mail (or paypal or direct deposit).

I hope that my standing with this online community will reassure you that this is a legit job offer and not just a waste of you time. Yes, there is some risk involved of your time (nothing EVER monetary) but, for the right person, this could be a great opportunity to get involved with a new specalized software from the ground up.
