Does anyone know of an IR card for PDA's? I have one of the IR Extender CF cards from MyElectricDog.com that I bought a couple of years ago, but they do not seem to be in business anymore, are there any of these type of devices around anymore?

Are these things all interchangeable? There doesn't seem to be any official standard.

The original Electric Dog extender is now supplied by Laser (www.laser.com). see the link

[Link: laser.com]

they are now very cheap, but come only in skeletal form, i.e. without the metal side panels. Apparently Laser cannot find anyone to supply these panel at an economic cost.

Laser are very helpful. I sent my old Electric Dog model to them for testing, and they repaired it free of charge.

A word on WinCEsoft support for the extenders. Remote Control 2 doess support the extenders, BUT ONLY FOR CERTAIN SPECIFIC PDAS. For example they do not support the ED/Laser extender on a Dell Axim x50v, and they have no plans to do so.

I know the x50v has it's own IR, but for whatever reason, it does not woirk with my Harman Kardon amp, but I know that the extender does.

Thanks for responding. I already ordered an extender from Laser, but I was wondering if the Ultramote extender is functionally the same thing. They don't seem to have the same problem with component availability that Laser does.
