Hi guys, my trusty IPAQ, currently running PDAWin with The old Electric Dog Ir extender is nearing the end of it's useful life. Not bad for free (ny boss got it free at a high powered conference and kindly donated it to me!) but all good things come to an end.

I've been looking at Dell X30's for a while, and there seems to be lots of support out there for these, but the X50 is here now, for what looks like a similar price (on ebay at least).

I'm OK with PDAWin, but already have a license for Total Remote, and may dabble with NetRemote if I feel the need for WiFi.

Questions then

1. Given that the X50v has the new fangled VGA screen, can any of the above applications take advantage of the higher resolution available.

2. I'm also assuming that Tonto would be able to generate the approapriate CCFs, is this also correct?

Your thoughts as always would be much appreciated

Not sure of PDAWin or Total Remote but I am presently using the x50v with NetRemote, works well. I had to download a small utillitiy to take advantage of the VGA screen

In Tonto you can produce a ccf at the correct resolution :- file - new with type - custom

Hope this helps.......

Sorry cannot answer that one. I don't use the I/R on the x50 as my home cinema is in a different room so use Girder and USB-UIRT
