Can I suggest that we submit our files (especially the discrete codes) to http://www.coolremotes.com

This way everyone can win without having to use ORDesktop.

Im still hoping the ORDesktop people are gonna wake up. The product has great promise, its just the support lets it down.

Al - If you could email me the omniremote .pdb file with the sony discrete codes it would really be appreciated.

Dan - Those codes you posted worked perfectly! What other sony discrete codes do you need? Im sure with a bit of arrangement we can all get the codes we need....

Personally I need....
Sony TV - Video2, On, Off
Sony VCR - TV, Video1, Video2, On, Off
Sony Minidisc - On, Off

Cheers, Cammo

Just thought I'd add something about the pasting of Pronto codes into Omnidesktop, Which I've gained from writing some IR software for the Palm.

If you learn an infrared command into a pronto which the pronto knows the protocol of such as a Philips RC5 command.
Rather than store the full learned code, The code is stored in the format
5000 0073 0000 0001 0005 0036
With the 5 being the system type in this case vcr1 and the 36 being the command stop.
I would think unless the omnidesktop people have implemented being able to create the RC5 protocol from the command and type then this will convert into nothing.
This is probably also the case for the other types of codes which pronto knows the true format of, So you wont be able to convert between pronto and omnidesktop for several types of codes even if they are learnt into the pronto.
