Hello, I use the last version of Total Remote (beta 677 I think) in native mode with an Asus pocket PC.
I 've got a REAL problem that may stop me using the product :-( or at least wait until the release of version 3 that will perhaps fix the problem.
The problem concernes the control of the volume of an amplifier (Yamaha rxv 630). The command was learned by total remote without any problem, but when I use it, volume increases or decreases only by 0.5 dB steps and I have to click hundreeds of time on the button to get the expected volume. (I control volume with "hardware buttons" with associated actions Vol+/Vol -, but it's exactly the same if I click on the screen).
I do not understand why the signal is not sent in a repetitive way as long as the button is pressed down, like the original remote control do, and just like other (hardware) universal remote controls do too (which I use too without any problem).
Thank you for your help and assistance.
Don, May I suggest one options ? ( for V3 :-)
- There should be an "auto-repeat" mode like there is for keyboards of computers (delay and speed)

I've got the same problem with iPaq 36** (can't remember the exact model) My volume will only step-up, not alter continually by holding down the volume button. The TR is controlling a Denon AV amp for the volume. Is there any work around for this or should I just RTFM? :-)
Using latest (registered) version of TR from website.
Thanks in advance for any help (Don?)

Hi guys,
To quickly summarize, Total Remote does not support key repeats WHEN TOUCHING THE SCREEN, but does support key repeats WHEN USING THE HARDWARE BUTTONS. There is about 650ms of delay between repeats using the hardware buttons, which does make this quite a bit slower than the average remote.
Our programmers' excuses run the gamut (damn programmers, anyway!), but the fundamental issue is that we cannot handle IR _and_ sample the screen at the same time. In the next version of Total Remote we expect to incorporate a toggling routine (sample-blast-sample-blast) that will substantially overcome the current limitation.
For now, try to use the hardware buttons on the PPC for repeating functions.

Thanks for that Don, Was intending to use the hard buttons for volume anyway, so that'll work for now. Look forward to version 3
