I just got Total Remote and tried plugging the Total Remote IR transmitter into the audio connector on my 5550 and it just doesn't fit.

Am I missing something here, or is the compatibility list on the Griffin site wrong and 5550 is not compatible with the 5550?

Yes, you are apparently missing the newer transmitter module! I would guess that you have our older design, which worked pretty well for most PPCs with audio ports on the top or side, but could not possibly fit an iPaq 54xx or 55xx. All Total Remote packages shipped in the last several months have a redesign transmitter module that is "T"-like and fits ALL 3.5mm audio ports on all PPCs, including and especially the 54xx/55xx.

Give our tech support guys a call and see if they can arrange a swapout.
