Hi there!!!

I'm new here and I hope this question hasn't been asked before, had a search but found nothing!!

I've run HTPC on my Shuttle SN41G2 and I've been using Shuttle's IR remote ([Link: eu.shuttle.com]) for accessing my movies/music etc.. Problem is that the remote died and I'm looking for an alternate solution.....hopefully involving my PDA.

Any idea if it's possible to use my iPAQ2210 as a remote for my Shuttle XPC??

Cheers!!

I did a quick search, and I cannot find anyone who professes to have Shuttle remote control codes. Lacking this, I cannot imagine how you can proceed, using ANY software. Perhaps you could convice someone who frequents Remote Central to learn the codes into a CCF that you could then use with remote control programs like Total Remote.

One possible alternative is that many of these kinds of remotes use the same signal standards, so it is quite possible that a remote intended for another vendor's HTPC solution would work perfectly for your Shuttle receiver. You might try one of the CCFs you can find here that has codes for HTPC remotes, Windows Media Center remotes, and other similar kinds of remotes.
