Hi all,

I'm a newbie here, a friend of mine mentioned to me that I could use a software to configure my PDA to control all my electronic components, that's how I found this forum. To get me started, what's the software I need to get and which PDA I need to buy?
Thanks in advance!

I currently use NoviiRemote on my Palm to learn IR remotes and control my devices. Works really well. Each item has 2 available screens. 1 has a numeric keypad and the typical up, down, left, right, OK center button. There are also F1 - F4 for special function buttons, as well as POWER, Source or Input, Mute, Guide, Menu, Exit, Info and others.

These screens are acutally customized depending upon which device you are trying to control. I.E. when learning a DVD remote, you have buttons for Subtitle, Audio, Disk Menu, Title Menu and others that are limited to DVD.

Goto http://www.novii.tv/ to download a trial and see if you like it.

Hi,
Depends if your PDA runs on Palm OS or if it is a pocket PC.

For my part, I use "Total remore" on my pocket PC and it works really fine.
Highly configurable and customizable.
Actually version 2, version 3 is comming soon.

The "+" is that people from this company read this forum, answer questions, and listen to suggestions...

(should I precise i'm NOT an employee of this company :-)

Regards,
Tanguy.
