Hi,

I just bought a Dell X30 wireless with 624MHz CPU and loaded Total Remote version 2.1.381 according to the proposals from several people here including Don. My intention was to only use it in the CCF mode but the remote always sends the signal several times which makes it useless (if you press 1 on the remote you get 11 or 111). The most worse part is that the program completely hang and you need a hard reboot to recover quite often.
Do anyone have any solution or will these two major and critical bugs be solved soon?

/Carl

This gives me a great opportunity to remind people that I could be an idiot for all you know! Have you ever met me? Might I drool and have a stuttering tick? Have I been arrested but never convicted of misdemeanor assault on a goat? Do I even know what a Palm Pilot is?!? HOW WOULD YOU KNOW? Don't trust me blindly. Don't trust ANYONE, especially policitians, blindly.

That said, I still think the Axims are great. :)

Yes, the solution has been isolated and should be available at the end of August in the form of the new v2.2.

PDAWIN also suffers from occasional hangups, and also suffers from the RBP (Repeating Button Problem).
Same for the Axim X3 buttons configured for volume, my wife held it down briefly for + yesterday and the sound kept coming until the speakers almost exploded.
Same problem in TR though...
Don, I hope you'll find some time to address this too, as all progress at PDAWIN seems to have come to a complete standstill.

I gotta admit, that other, new piece of remote software posted here looks muey muey impressive. I guess the only thing I have going for me is that they claim they will not support CCFs, and since that is what most people want right now I imagine Total Remote will not be threatend TOO MUCH for the moment.

Total Remote v2.2, with the new IR core (and no repeating key problem) will be going into "public" beta testing next week. Stay tuned.

I believe that software has been around for awhile - just not for PPCs but for tablet PCs.

Most people will likely be happy with the ability to import CCF hex codes as opposed to importing complete CCF files as long as the software addresses other issues like toggle and repeat codes.
