Sometimes, you look around at all these gadgets and in a rare moment of inspiration or madness, you look at them all a little different— connected in a way they are currently not, but perhaps should be, or at least “could” be. There might not be anything “new” but there are countless combinations of disparate technologies, and we think this is a great example of combining a couple of those.

I published how to record/playback IR & RF codes as audio files a few years ago.

For IR you don't need TotalRemote. You only need 2 IR emitting diodes.

Very much interested with this issue. Searched the forum with your name which gives me more that 2.000 results :(
Is it possible for you to link or republish this subject as it gives enormous possibilities like transmitting IR codes with simple transeivers using laptop for tests etc.

See [Link: mbx-usa.com] for the recording part. I deleted the playback appnote about a year ago when I was trying to simplify the web page. I may still have it archived somewhere.
