My cable box uses a "one for all" remote and it looks like Omniremote can learn the codes but when it tries to reproduce them it fails almost always. Sometimes by keeping the button pressed longer on the visor the command is recognized by the unit but not always. I even tried the "Trained Repeating" but it's even worse.
I tried all the frequencies under training settings and still no luck. All my other pieces just work fine (sony and Proceed). Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Andrea

I had trouble with learning my TIVO, so I purchased Ordesktop. Not only does it allow you to design your remote config on your PC with tools and such, it allows you to import the config files for the Phillips Pronto remote (ccf files). I just imported the Pronto TIVO config with Ordesktop and it works great! You'll need software called Backup Buddy to get the Omniremote config file off your Palm Pilot if you have already created settings for your components on your Palm. It makes it way easier to program your Omniremote if you can simply use the Pronto config files already in existance.

Actually you cannot import the ccf file right into Ordesktop. You can look up the code in the CCF file with Prontoedit and then cut and paste it into Ordesktop.
