Hi people

new to the forum, this place rocks!

I'm trying to find codes/program/remote for an NEC Mitsubishi XP37+ presentation monitor. My remote is lost, and reaching around the back of that monster is a pain ;-) I've tried an iPAQ 2210 and most universal remotes with no joy :-(

anyone help??

Cheers

what was the problem with the iPAQ? and what program where you using?

Have you tried PDAWin TVR, or Griffin Total Remote, VITO Remote, Netremote?

Get either PDAWin TVR, or Griffin Total remote, then you can creat ccf file in Tonto, and find codes on the files section of this site. If no luck on file section, a posting in the Pronto/Marantz forum should find someone who can help with the codes.

I would go with Total Remote from Griffin, as they are just developing ccf mode and are doing their best to get it working, support from PDAWin for TV Remote is non existant.

Netremote is also a possibility , but does not support ccf for direct IR fully yet, in fact I believe their developer is pointing people to ht Griffin site at the moment.

Seeing that the monitor is NEC, it is possible that the protocol used is NEC. Therefore you could create complete sets of hex codes and compile them in to a ccf using tools in the files section of this site, and try them out till you find a device number that works. Risks involved and a lot of time,.......try the Pronto Marantz forum for codes first.
