Those nice people over at NetRemote have just made available a beta (I guess) version of the software that has direct IR handling, i.e. Pronto emulation on a PPC.
Judging by the thread thats open at the moment, there are a few issues still to be sorted, and they are pains to point out that this is the first release with any direct IR support, and does not yet have full functionality. For example it does not have IR learning.
The good news is that NetRemote takes .ccf files, so it should be relatively easy to migrate from PDAWIN.
While this is a big step forward, I wouldn't suggest that people start piling in just yet. The next release (v1) is supposed to be the landmark version for IR, but no release date has been set. But if you fancy an early look, go the netremote site.
