I have my PC in the loft area of my house and I want to be able to control my music from downstairs in my living room.
Any suggestions as to the best way to handle this?
BTW, my loft has 1/2 walls so I can look down on my living room and vice versa from my living room, I can look up at my loft.
I have seen StreamZap's product but was wondering if there was perhaps an easier way.
Thanks.

If you have a WiFi PDA, try progs such as Girder, Netremote, and JR River Media Centre. All enable Control of PC over a home Wireless LAN. Media centre and netremote give you the option of seeing album cover etc, stored on your media server, on the PDA itself. Do a few searches.
Using these progs, and IR blasters connected to PC's on the network, you can control IR devices from the PDA via the WLAN any where in the house. In fact with a broadband connection and a VPN set up you can control your IR devices/home control systems etc etc, from where ever you are, as long as you can connect to your home net via the internet and VPN.,
