Has anyone had luck adding discrete codes using PDAWins remote Controller 5.5. I can't seem to get the vid inputs or on/off codes for My sony tv to work.

Thanks,

danny

Don't ask me why, but for me if I send the commands twice in a row it works.

How were the discrete hex codes created?
Did you compile them yourself? or pull them from else where?

TVRC seems to ignore anything in the second burst pair sequence. More than one or two burst pairs in the second sequence also causes it to fail. Examine the hex and see if the code has any data in the second sequence, Try manually editing it out, and see if you have any joy that way.

I found that to be a solution on some codes (Channel +/-) that I learned from an original remote. The original worked fine, but the learned codes would not. Got rid of the second burst sequence and they worked fine.

I am using discretes I have found on this site. I am fairly new to this, so I am just learning to analyze the codes. I have no trouble learning directly from my remotes, but they don't have all they don't have the individual input codes, only a video toggle. I will try your aproach. Thanks for the help.

If you need any help regarding decoding codes, and if you have not already had a look, download the various files in the files section, Pronto /Pronto Pro section, Progs and Docs section, User docs section. Also get some of the utilities from the ccf uitils section. Just ahve a play, learning as you go. Barry Gordons article is excellent.

The best place for help for this subject (Hex decoding etc) is in the Philips Pronto And Marantz forum
