Hoped you all could help me out for a second. Just recently got into the PDA/Remote thing and I have a few questions. I'm looking at buying an Axim x5, which will mainly be used as a remote, some wireless internet, some movies. I will be using PDAwin with either the Ultramote IR or the one from Laser(old EDV).

Which processor would you suggest, value per dollar, 300mhz or 400mhz.

Is there a compatability issue with PDAwin and PC 2003, how about 2003 and the IR extenders.

Do either of the IR's use the CF slot or do they have to be velcro.

Do you know about the error message with the Ultramote IR, has this been corrected, I don't want to deal with that everytime I turn on the PDA.

If some of you could list your setups and any glitches; common errors, very directional IR, etc., it would be greatly appreciated

I don't own an Axim, but just run a search in this forum for old threads. I beleive your questions have been answered many times in the past 3-4 month
good luck
