Are you ppl SURE the ultraremote ir-extender works with pdawin?

Here is a piece of a mail i got from them:
"We only offer the patent-pending UltraMote Extender® for use with Ultramote® software, so please make sure you try out the software using the 14 day free trial prior to purchase."

But it still works with pdawin? (Thinking of bying a dell axim to use as a remote)

Razor........I know this is a really basic thing and I would have to assume you've tried it, but I have to ask. Did you change the IR setting in PDAWin to external? That's the only thing that I can think of that could cause it to not work. Unless you got a faulty extender.

I recieved mine yesterday, and it works great.
You don't have to aim the pda at the equipment you are using.
I have not tried it with a bunch of fluffy blankets draped over the pda,so I don't really know if others would be impressed with its performance.

Just received my Ultramote Extender today, with full intentions to use it with PDAWin, not Ultramote... but like Razor, I can't get mine to work either. I've got a Dell Axim X5 (300 MHZ). In fact, it won't work in either of PDAWin or Ultramote. I've changed the setting within each of the two programs to external IR device, but that doesn't do anything....

Are there any other settings I need to change? Any other suggestions? If I can't get it to work, I'll have to get a friend to try it in their Ipaq to see if it's a faulty card.

Shneebs.
