I have just bought a HP2215 PDA for reasons other than a remote control replacement for my Pronto 2000. However I thought I would check out the PDAwin software.
So I loaded my Pronto CCF file and everything seems to work OK except my Pre-processor (a Parasound AVC2500) which used RC5 codes (e.g. 5000 0072 0000 0001 001b 0011 which translates to RC5 27 17). Whenever I press a button associated with RC5 codes the screen freezes up.
According to the PDAwin website the software does not work with RC6 codes, but should with RC5 codes. I have not tried to relearn these codes using the PDA as this would be somewhat of a nuiscance if I had to do this every time I edited the CCF using ProntoEdit (for a new CD or DVD for instance) and reloading it onto the PDA.
Any comments or help?

I'm having the same problem with my Arcam DVD player, which also uses RC5 codes. Has anyone got a remedy?

I have contacted PDAwin via email, however I have had no response as of yet. If I do receive a response, then I will poet it.
