I've just bougth an axim and a PDA-ir ver 2.0 to get rid of my old B/W pronto. From what I understand this model should support axim and have ok ir range, but this doesn't really work for me. Im using the CCF software from PDAWIN and after learning af few commands and choosing external ir as output, I've boosted the range from 3 to 6 feet. Not what I expected!! Anybody got clue why the range is so poor. Can the extender have been dammaged durring shipping, or is unclean codes? Please give some hints.

i had the same problem on some commands but not all.if you have this problem on some commmands try relearning the command, but if its happening on all i would say something is broke.Ive had mine for 2weeks and everything works like it should.sometimes it took a couple tries of relearning a code to get it clean.

Have you selected the "External IR CF transmitter", under "Options-Output" ?

Don't really have a clue as to what it could me. All I can say is I have the same configuration and it works fine, range is up to 30 feet.
If it works on some commands not others, then it cannot be an IR extender issue, more of a learning issue maybe.
Did you try reinstalling the TV remote software?
To me the whole thing is not impressively stable (especially prontedit) so sometimes need to reinstall.

good luck

First of all, when installing ProntoEdit, reboot the computer before using the program. Do this even though you're not prompted to do so. Second of all, Tonto is a much better, more stable, more feature rich program than PE.
