Hi all
having just purchased the Hp 2210, i was very happy with finding the nevo software installed, i have had a play with this over the last couple of days and have been impressed with what it can do, the only problem i can't seem to solve is my "watching DVD" activity, i have set it up as follows

power on DVD
eject dvd tray
change audio on reciver to DVD/LDP
change tv to DVD channel
close dvd tray
select screen option
change to 16.9

now it doesn't matter where i put the close dvd tray, in the list it closes straight after it opens (toshiba 2108),i have noticed when the beam icon is flashing theres a little clock appears, is there a delay option any where in the programe ? i search high and low for it but havn't come acroos anything yet any info would be appriciated

Thanks

ozi

I am a newbie in this arrier, so I'm sorry, that I don't can help you.

BUt I will ask you about the performance for the Ipaq 2210.

Is the IR range good on this PDA?.... should you hold it directly at the items you will remote, or can you hold it in front of a wall and still could use the remote?

Best regards

i live in a pretty small unit, i mangaed to get back 30' from the tv and use the remote which i was directley in line with. my other compponents are to the left of my tv on a different wall, when i use the remote to shut down tv,recivier, cable box & vcr, using an activity icon they all shut down without me moving the remote around, the vcr and cable box are about 4' from my tv so the spread of the remote is pretty good

I'm not sure how far the iPaq IR emitter reaches, but I do personally have a PDA-ir CompactFlash card that I use with my Dell Axim and PDAwin TV Remote Controller software.

The PDA-ir (and other CF IR units) state that they will reach up to at least 50 feet. I have personally tested it up to 25 feet, but ran into a corner so I couldn't back away any further. From 25 feet it was just as responsive as it was from 1 foot.

Ozi,

While programming the keystrokes for your activity, when you get to where you want to insert a delay, tap the "wrench" icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. In the menu that pops up, one of the choices should be "Add Delay". Selecting that will present you with a drop-down list of delay times to choose from. If you need a longer delay than the largest one in the list, just repeat the "Add Delay".

However, if what you really want is for the DVD tray to remain open indefinitely so you can load a disk into it, you are better off programming the second half of the key sequence onto a separate button, e.g. an "Automated Activity" button on one of the DVD control pages. Then just have the first sequence end with that page displayed. Once you've loaded the disk, tap the second button to close the tray and finish the sequence.

Alfaman.
