Hi there,
I noticed that there was a new version of Tonto which has recently been released. Is there anthing worthwile in it for us? I Know that some of us asked the developer to support an option for greater than 256 colors which if it has been included could tremendously improve our own custom CCF files.

Who is us? The Pronto/Marantz color platform is limited to 256 colors. Nothing can be done in Tonto to overcome that. If you're using a Pocket PC CCF runtime emulator, it is also restricted to the CCF's 256 color limitation even though the hardware is not. The only way to get more than 256 colors is to run NetRemote (netremote.org) and work in Tonto's 'Custom' mode; with that setup you get 24-bit color and 8-bit alpha blending. That capability has been in Tonto for a few months.

Hi Stewart,
by us I meant PDA remote control users. Thanks for that info. Tonto is a great tool & in combination with netremote there could be some really interesting developments for pda users.
