I quite fancy the idea of using my PC ( or buy a Touch tablet ) to control my TV, DVD etc etc.
1/ Do you think this is possible without writing lots
of code?
2/ Recommendations, links etc very welcome.

I dont know too much about this but I found this link, I think this and a slinke will do what you ask of it. Could work out pretty expensice though, if you were going to buy a tablet pc you might be better off buying a ipronto. Have a look. [Link: webpromotion.com]

You can use NetRemote & Girder on your PC or TabletPC to control your A/V appliances via an IR (or X10) transmitter. http://www.netremote.org
