It seems that if I try to program the hard buttons if I put an Alias on one of the hard keys, it is there for all of them. What gives? Is there something special to programming the hard keys using ProntoEdit 4? thanks in advance.

Don't know if this helps:

Generally: you have a Pronto Edit problem rather than a PDA problem.
So use the Pronto forum rather than this one (the problem lies not in which kind of Remote you have but is a PEdit software question):

BUT BEFORE GOING THERE, SEE IF YOU CAN'T FIND YOUR ANSWER IN THE FAQ's:

Good luck!

wterry,

It depends on WHERE you put the alias for the hard keys. Putting a hard button alias (or learning a code) in SYSTEM PROPERTIES (under home) is global and the hard key function will be present in ALL devices.

Putting the alias in DEVICE PROPERTIES will make the hard key execute the command, but only for that device. It will also over ride any global hard key setting, but again, only for that device.

Hope that helps,
Jim L
