I have TV Remote Controller 5.4 on a Dell Axim X5. I tried a bunch of ccf files and none seem to work with my TV or DVD player. It seems like all the downloads are from people with specific setups. Unless you have all the same components, it won't work. How do I get a ccf file that works with my Philips TV and DVD player, yet emulates the color Pronto remote? Thanks for the help.

a lot of us separate the user interface from the functional part of the CCF

so you can either
1) merge a ccf that looks good with CCFs that work with your equipment and then tie it all together

2) get a CCF that looks good and then learn your equipment to it
...

Ah, that makes sense! Now the tough part, how do I merge them? I have Pronto Edit 4, if that is what I use.

You have 2 basic options, open YOUR ccf - the one that contains the bulk of what your creating. With your ccf open, open the new one and select merge. You can then delete what you don't want from the merged ccfs.

Second, open the new ccf and delete the unnessessary items, then save it (use different name) and close. Then open YOUR ccf and repeat as above.

You always want to merge into your ccf.

Deleting things can create problems. If you delete things that have codes that were aliased (or jumped to) in parts of the ccf that you keep, the buttons will show up blank.

Hope that helps,
