I've posted here, and of course on the Aximsite.com thread. I agree 100% with Dave on this one. Also, nowhere on the EDV website (or on the CCnow orderform) does it guarantee a shipping date, status update, etc. Therefore, all of this "it's taking too long" is just assumption. Back in late January/early-February, a couple months after the Axim release, Dell had similar problems. They did not show "back-ordered" or "delayed" when you placed your order. For some customers, it took them over a MONTH to receive their Axim. This was from an EXTREMELY HUGE corporation, Dell. Also, their status page was even worse off than what you are describing. Dell sometimes even showed "shipped" on their status page, and the orders weren't even close to shipping yet. If this can happen with a big company like Dell, then it should not be a problem when it happens to a MUCH smaller, and side-job company like EDV. I feel that the PDA-ir is a great product, and there are a LOT of happy customers like myself that will agree with me. There will always be a handful of upset customers of any company, and it just so happens (although it be unfortunate) that this person is you this time. I suggest just letting this "flame" thread go, and waiting a little longer. It's not going to speed things up to complain about it when Dane is out of town. Just my opinion, and you can agree or disagree as you please. But in my opinion, I hate to see forums cluttered up with ongoing threads like this. Just try and let it go for a bit.

I agree that none of this will accomplish one whit, unless dane decides to do something about it.

but seems to me that it would be easier for a huge company like dell to mess things up and much easier for a small company to not have this type of problem.

just my 9944/100¢ vent........good for my blood pressure, anyways.

Hrmmmm. I guess we're just opposites here. Dell has a multi-million dollar MIS department, whose job it is to keep these ordering system problems from occurring. A smaller company, like EDV, probably does not have the money for this. An ordering system is an ordering system. No matter how many customers, the system works exactly the same. Therefore Dell has a BIG advantage over EDV on this problem. Just my opinion. This is my last post on the subject. Go ahead and get the last word in, and let the thread come to an end. :)

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!

Dane has decided to do something about this. He is suing you for libel since there's no record of any order from anyone in Hawaii or anyone using the name you use in your profile, either on or after the 18th.

It appears your "order" was a total fabrication on your part. If you're going to libel a small company, it's advisable to pick one not owned by an attorney.

It's a shame that RemoteCentral has allowed people like you to destroy what could be a valuable resource. By now you know that Aximsite.com will not allow you to do the same thing there.

don't think you can sue a fictitious entity for libel. i do have an order placed and it is still awaiting shipment.

if you want to get down to brass tacks.....i'm sure ip logs will verify who i am, if need be.

i never stated anything that wasn't true.......and i still reiterate that i never flamed you, only expressed disatisfaction with EDV's communication and shipping policies.

you're the one who kept answering for dane and adding to your own stress by doing so. if dane would just communicate (or allow someone else to do so in his stead) that items are back-ordered or awaiting parts.....none of this would ever have showed up anywhere else but in emails between EDV and their customers.

To finish this up and to set the record straight.

I received the EDV CFIr device today, and initial testing shows that it is as effective a device as all posts on several forums make it out to be.

I would hope that the picture below confirms my order, payment and receipt of this device.

It is a shame, that people, such as yourself, continue to post this drivel.
