I have a palm Vx and and Nomad JB 3 i want to use the palm as a remote for the nomad. I have been through this site but as this is new to me can someone guide me as to what i need and what to do?

First you need a remote control program. Have a look at http://www.pacificneotek.com/ where you can download a demo version of Omniremote. This should teach you the basics.
