I just downloaded the latest PDAwin trial software, installed it on my Maestro ppc, and have been trying to get a .ccf file to load. When I try to load it, the program just goes back to the "Please load a CCF file" screen. Anybody else had this problem? Can you use a .ccf file in the trial version of the software?

Thanks,

Gunner

Try doing a reset of your ppc. That usually works.

Having the same problem, just got all my stuff together today and upgraded to 2002 with all the new
rom upgrades for my ipaq 3640. Loaded pdawin for the
first time and tried to load my pronto file that worked on my tsu2000 and i get the same thing. did the
reset too. I downloaded a startrek theme ccf from the files area and it loaded.. go figure guess it is time
to run the ccf file through the wash.

Finally got mine to load. Was the file name of my CCF
file causing the problem.
Was
PocketPc Home Control Rev 1.ccf
Renamed it to
Rev1.ccf
and boom it loaded haven't tried taking out all the
spaces yet to see if it loads that way.
But even loaded mine remote doesnt work the components. This is my old ccf from my pronto 2000
which worked great. Most likely it is it is the
IR codes but dont know yet.

Thank you. Finally after 3 days of owning a 3970 and not having any way of returning it you have found the solution to my problems. I mainly bought it for a remote control, so this was disappointing.
One thing I would say, it is absolutely rubbish regarding range. I am getting between 3 and 5.5 feet on a good day.
I have ordered the electronic dog IR booster which when it arrives should be good.
P.S. Even after the rename a reboot was require to stop the Ipaq from hanging.

Glad to hear. I kept pounding my head because the
ones i got from tonks loaded and mine didnt. I stripped everything out and still nothing. Then I got
the idea to shorten the name and vola it worked.. Go figure. Now that I have it loaded none of my old learned codes work. The only ones that work are for
the X10 controller. Can't get a dang thing to work.
I have all my IR codes attached to buttons on several
panels and use alias's to get to them. It all worked on the pronto, figure the IR codes need worked on.
Guess it is time to learn something new.
