Okay, I'm currently working on my own CCF interpreter for my Clie. I've coded most of the screen display and navigation, and now need to tackle actually sending an IR code (which will be a useful feature ;-). Unfortunately Sony haven't released a SDK for the Enhanced IR on the Clie, and don't look like they will either.
So, my question is, has anyone reverse engineered it? I know OmniRemote can access the enhanced IR, but how? Looking at the OR message board it appears it accesses the hardware directly?

Interesting project! Pls let know if you have a demo to look. :) BTW why you don't try to use primary CLIE IR port via PalmOS API? On OmniRemote forum there was a post about problems with CLIE NR70. [Link: pacificneotek.com]

earl2k: The IRDA port is far too low power, at least on the Clie. No range at all. I've also now exhuasted to 5K executable limit in CodeWarrior evaluation!
I'm not going to emulate the entire Pronto main screen, just the user definable pannels. These will occupy the entire 320x320 Clie screen area. Access to HOME, MACRO or DEVICE groups will be available via drop downs.
Something seems to tell me that the Clie consumer IR might be connected to the 68K via: * Port B bit 6 controlled via timer 2 * Port K bit 0 Using: * PWM unit 2 * Timer unit 2
I'll certainly let people have a look if (and when) I get it working. At the mo it's nothing more than some fancy screens (although Dan's Pro CCF navigates around beautifully!).

Here's a link to what I've worked out of the SDK folks :) [Link: geocities.com]I hope to have the emulator ready for download soon. Enjoy!
