Hi,

I have borrowed a friends Palm with OmniRemote on it so I can try and teach my RC2000 some discrete codes that are not on my original remote.

Specifically, my Marantz SR4300 has discrete on and off commands that are not on the Marantz Remote.

Using the CCF from Marantz's website I get the following two RC5x Commands.

Discrete On: 16-12-1
Discrete Off: 16-12-2

Using ProntoEdit, the IR codes show as:

Discrete On: 5001 0000 0000 0002 0010 000c 0001 0000
Discrete Off: 5001 0000 0000 0002 0010 000c 0002 0000

I have tried to use the MemoPad import database method to load them into OmniRemote but I get invalid IR code errors. When I try and play with the code, anything I can get to load isn't right and doesn't work.

Can anyone tell me how to translate either of the above sequences into OR hex? If I need to get ORDesktop to do it I'll buy it for him, but from reading the OR Manual off the website, the Pronto codes should load directly using Import (which should be the same as the ORDesktop conversion method).

I hate starting things and not getting it to work (p.o.'s the heck out of me).

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Those are RC5 codes. You'll need to convert them to "learned" 0000 type codes. Look in the Files section of the Pronto forum. There are some descriptions of the CCF format there. There are details in some of them that you can use to convert them.

You might also get help by posting to the Pronto forum. Someone might offer to convert them for you.

Never mind ... got them!

I will post them into the Discrete Codes for OmniRemote thread ([Link: remotecentral.com]) for reference.

Thanks.
