Nevo is only usable if you only want things that you would expect from a $10 universal remote.
The others you can try out.
I personally prefer PDAWin's in CCF-Mode.

Have you actually tried the Griffin with their hardware that adds onto the IPAQ all for only $ 30.00 software and hardware. I have it ordered but I haven't tried it. I am trying to find someone who has tried it.

I tried only the Software. I have an internal IR Booster in my iPAQ that boosts the IRDA-Power so I was able to test it with a good range. Unfortunately it was not able to repeat any codes for my Yamaha AX1 and my Toshiba projection TV, so setting the volume was not really possible. Single codes where ok. Nevertheless as I also didn't like the user interface I stopped playing with it.
Hope this helps

I use PDAWin in CCF mode. Works great. It is perfect if you have changer's. I have two 300 Disc DVD and 2 400 Disc CD Changers. I store everything in my PDA/Remote. I use the SuperNudeList for audio and my own creation for DVD's that display DVD Covers.

As for the repeat problem Wilhelm mentioned. The hard keys will repeat.

Also if you have the Yamaha piece, you can store like 8 preset levels of volume. I setup a sliding bar that picks from on of the preset volumes. I love it.

Only hurdle you have to jump is the IR- Performance.
