I have the Sony RM AV 3000. I am trying to get my Yamaha A/V Receiver (HTR 5460) to work and am having all kinds of trouble getting sound fields right, etc...

I was thinking about using my Palm 505 and either OmniRemote or ProntoLite as a teaching remote. There is a .ccf file for my receiver. I ASSUME the sound field codes I am looking for are already programmed in there. I am thinking I could create a button for a certain function on the palm and then learn it on the Sony 3000.

Am I on the right track and if so, which program is better if I have .ccf files and do not plan on using the Palm itself as a remote. Again, I would only use this as a teaching remote for the Sony.

Any and all help welcomed!

Thanks,
Bill
