I ordered a PDA-ir from www.myelectricdog.com on Tuesday. It's now Friday evening and my order status(from CCNOW) still reads "awaiting shipment".

This concerns me. Surely it should have shipped within these four days.

Anyone had experience ordering from Electric Dog?

Maybe I'm just being impatient. Regards. X

Yes I ordered mine from there. It to had awaiting for shipment. I e-mailed them and got a response back within 2 days or so. They stated that they were awaiting shipment for more units to come in. I did receive mine within 7 days I believe. But I wouldn't worry, send them and e-mail they will respond back.

Yeah, you're right. My status finally changed to 'shipped' this morning. I guess it just took them a while to get it out.

It's hard to be patient when I spent two full days building a CCF file, and I can't use it until I get that IR extender. (That is, unless I want to stand two feet away from my system :)

Well, I received the PDA-ir today. I must say, it works exactly as advertised. I am quite happy so far. In my room, I can get as far away as 35 ft, and I had no problems controlling any of my components.

Xray,

Do you find the LED that sticks out of the CF card a problem ?

No, not at all. I was concerned about it until I actually got it in my hand. The CF card slides in flush with the sleeve. The only thing that sticks out is the led itself, and I find that it is very solidly mounted.

I think the only way you'll damage it is if you drop it directly on it's top onto a hard floor. If that happens, then that led is probably the least of your problems.
