In reviewing the specs on HP and Compaq's website it appears the new models 3955 and 3975 do not come with the embedded Nevo software like the 3950 and 3970? Does anyone know if this is in fact the case and if ture why support was dropped?

I don't know, but I would welcome such a decision, if the price is going down as well. The NEVO software/hardware is really far from useful in my oppinion.

The 3950 and 3970 includes the NEVO software. I just bought one, and it has the software.

I think the only difference in the model numbers is to determine corporate customers from retail customers. I believe that the 3955 and 3950 are identical as is the 3970 and 3975.
I could be wrong...
