Does a iPaq 3635 work good with Remote Control v5.1?
How is the IR range? Does it need an extender?
I am looking to purchase a PDA to use as a remote
would this be a good one? Or is there one better?
I have a Kenword PowerTouch RF/IR LCD and a SonyAVR.
Looking to replace with color PDA. I have a Compaq Aero 2150 but have not received any response to if Aero can be used as a good remote?

I upgraded that exact model to PocketPC 2002 and loaded TVRemote 5.1 on it last week for a freind and he is very happy with it. The IR range is a little weak and he is getting the IR Extender. Hope that helps some.

Without the IR extender that range was about 8-10 feet for most of the equipment. With the Mits TV the range was less due to the IR receiver of the TV being located behind the display screen.

I purchased an old Compaq IR keyboard unit for my system that was designed for the Compaq PC/TV unit that never made it. Paid $19.00 for it and works great.

Purchased my keyboard from www.directron.com on one of their blow-outs. I use TV-Remote on my iPaq (3650). Don't know about a 3630 but have tested it on a 3635 and 3650.
