Bad news for the owners of iPaq H3900 series today from PDA Win.
They stated to me that the problem is that the "strong" IR diode is locked only for Nevo software. They are working on this but so far with no luck.
Most of us were already aware of this. I purchased an Electric Dog IR extender to help solve the issue. To my dismay I discovered that the Electric Dog IR extender will not work with the 3900 series. The company also indicated that they could not say when a solution could be found.
I suppose this is really bad news for owners of the 3900 series. Lets hope that the problem can be solved.
If you have doubts about the IR range it may be best to delay your purchase until a solution is found.
Can anyones else suggest an alternative way to solve the problem?
