I have not heard any evidence that it can utilise the IR range that the Nevo uses. Lets hope that it can because this issue was unclear. Can anyone confirm the range? If so can you post a link or provide some info?

Hi there...........just purchased the upgrade to 5.0 (I currently run 4.0) I have unfortunately hit a snag.......after downloading and installing to my Jornada I am unable to use the software key to release the upgrade............on the registration tab both "registration" and "upgrade" are greyed out!!......the result of which is....er......no upgrade! I have emailed pdawin about the problem......lets see if i get a reply!!
I have tried a couple of installs to no effect.........mmmm............maybe should uninstall the old version.........reinstall it.........install upgrade.........THEN use registration key........will try that see if it works...........will report back in a short while.

Have also tried the same to no avail on iPaq. Looks like the server hasn't been updated with the new file yet? (still reads v.2.0.0.4 for v4.0 and 5.0 in win properties)

Just tried downloading the full price trial version to see wether I could upgrade from there (file is 2kb larger), installed to iPaq and went to upgrade/reg screen only to find them ghosted out again :(. But low and behold checked the about menu and it came up as registered! Still paid my upgrade fee BTW ;).

As I see it you only have to pay for the upgrade if you have version 1.0 - 3.1
BTW: It still does not repeat screen buttons !!!! :-(

Thanks Kay.............
Whatever would we do without the resources of this wonderful site and everyone out there in "TV Remote" land??
I too have done what you have done.....downloaded the unregistered version and installed it on top of V4.0. Success!!.........it worked.........and I too have paid the $4.95 for the upgrade!!
I really think it is a bit naughty not to make it clear that it would seem that you dont have to pay for the upgrade from version 4.0............very naughty indeed! I know it is only $4.95 but that is not the point. How many people will unknowingly pay.....only to find that they cant register and install the upgrade?
Anyway........many thanks.....much appreciated.

Well the bad news is that the range seems to be limited to about 12 FT. With Nevo I got as far as 35FT and that was only because I ran out of line of sight space in the house, so Nevo has far better range than TVR5.0 Why is it so hard for them to use the Nevo Ir, has anyone verified that there is a seperate IRd for Nevo in the 3900?
