I just downloaded a trial version of PDAwin's TV RC. I then downloaded my CCF to give it a try.Well, the CCF didn't work: My Mits TV didn't accept any of the IR commands, and the Volume +- hardbuttons didn't send out any IR. On my Pronto, the CCF works flawlessly. Has anyone else seen similar problems? I wrote the support guys at pdawin, but got no response. Is this the best forum for pdawin tips and tricks, or is there another? Thanks!

There could be two problems.

One is the limited range of the internal IR. It varies with the type of code. Some get about 8' while some get 12-15'.

Two is that you may need to relearn the codes with your PDA into the CCF.

Thanks Dave. #2 appears to be the answer. I started relearning the Mits codes from my Pronto, and they seem to work perfectly. Actually, it is a VERY rapid process, since the screens are identical to the Pronto screens. So I have my iPaq face the Pronto, each with the same screen displayed, and go through each icon to learn the base commands. Sweet. If my aliasings still work, which I expect, then my macros should start working soon too.

If you need more range and have a CF slot, PDA-ir will give you +50' range.
