i've heard of people using the clie, and the ipac, but will the palm VII work? It has a ir port! which software will work? please respond, and save me from buying an expencive pronto type remote

I believe that the Omniremote software will work with a Palm VII.
You will probably need some kind of ir repeater system or ir booster.
