I have an old cheapo TV in my B/R that I lost the remote to, and I can't find codes, CCF's for it ("Multitech" MC1316R) - but I remembered that I had an old universal remote that could talk to it (an RCA RCU300.)
So, no problem, I thought, to find the code in the universal, and use that to teach the ipaq. Found the code in the RCA that worked, no problem.
Learning went well - it appeared that the pdawin s/w did the right things... But, after learning, the TV did not respond to the ipaq - bummer.
So, maybe this is a dumb general question that gets asked all the time (I missed it, if that's the case) but, could an IR wiz/pdawin pro give me an explanation, fix, etc - why is it that the ipaq learns OK (or seems to - maybe a bad assumption) but can't re-create the same learned signal?
Or, maybe better yet, does someone have ccf for this tv?
Or, better still, does anyone have can't-miss reason I can give my wife as to why we must have a new TV?
Thanks for any help or insight...
