Have just been playing with Omniremote which I like and it does everything I want when combined with ORDesktop. NTL boxes have always been a problem for learning remotes but it seems the Palm can send IrDA so I should be able to add this to Omni. There are several .ccf files for NTL Pace Cable Boxes in the Pronto download section. Got the codes from there and put them on keys in ORDesktop BUT the trial version of this cannot save out the .pdb created. Has a) anyone managed to control a Pace NTL box in this way (DI4000N ex-cwc) and/or b) can anyone send me a .pdb file with say 1 or 2 of the ntl buttons mapped to a couple of buttons on TV in Omniremote for testing? If I can get this working I'll buy a PDA/OR/ORDesktop and set it all up myself.
Thanks.

AFAIK, OmniRemote cannot send out the IrDA codes for the Pace IrDA variant. You might try to lobby the producers of this software to add this functionality in. 'Radio Times on your PDA' @ radiotimes.tvcompass.com/pda can control Pace boxes. This software doesn't have the same purpose as OmniRemote, however, it is an interactive TV listings guide.
