Im looking for a good remote for my stereo, but it's nice to have something more.. I want a color display, macros, en it should have a IR too, of course...
I've been looking at Compaq Aero 2130, Casio E-105 Cassiopeia. Both with Windows CE. Does these work with OmniRemote, and do I need an IR booster?

KN: No. OmniRemote is PalmOS based only with no plans at all to move it to the CE platform.

So, why not buy a Color Palm lllc? I'm not sure how much use of color is in OmniRemote 1.17 (current version), but I'll bet the next version, 1.2, will use color and future versions will almost definitely do so. And the upcoming Palm devices are moving to faster processors, so you might want to wait for them and pick up a quicker Color Palm. Just a thought.........

Plus, OmniRemote 1.2 will have a programmers interface... I think there will be some neat programs come out to interface with your CD/DVD/VHS database, etc.

As far as IR boosters, it seems to me the best use of the Palm is with a separate IR/RF booster setup (not the one that attaches to the device). Go to PacificNeotek's site [Link:]. They sell the traditional add on IR boosters and have a link [Link:] to a couple of IR/RF systems.
