DID YOU EVER WONDER WHY?
1)There was never a pdb.file section made on this web site.
2}There was never a review of the Omniremote software or any other program that uses a pda as a remote control.
3)The features for a pda as a remote control were never listed in the Picker Clicker section.

1) with any file section Daniel adds it when he gets some interest, if enough people send in files I am sure he will build one, and that has been the model he has used for all the file sections here. Also there are a lot more remote sections and a lot more remote sections that can share files that don't have a file section, so it is not that he has anything against PDA remotes

2) I have no idea if Daniel has a PDA, and if he does, I don't know what type.
- a) But don't you think those would be limiting factors.
- b) Also I think he only reviews remotes that are sent to him, so if he has one, maybe no company has asked for his review
- c) how good a remote will also depend on the PDA used, so it is not as clean cut as real remotes. Any review will end up being PDA X with SW Y and IR extender Z

3) read 2)c)

Currently I do not own a PDA, and no company with PDA remote software has approached me offering to supply both. I've already got a backlog of standalone remotes to review, so I haven't pursued the matter.

You have my vote to add an OmniRemote PDB files section.

Daniel,

Consider yourself approached. I'll even loan you my iPAQ so that you can review PDAwin software + PDA-ir if you cannot borrow one. I don't think you can realistically expect anyone to give you the iPAQ as the profit margin for PDA-ir is miniscule compared to that for the dedicated remotes. It would take several months profits merely to recover the cost of the iPAQ.

You should ask this at...

http://www.pacificneotek.com

Their web page says OmniRemote Pro supports ALL Palm PDAs.
