Anyone who owns a Clie T615 should check out the OmniRemote 1.2 Beta at Pacific Neotek. It's near release, and so far I haven't found anything I can do on my (regular) Pronto that I can't do on OR 1.2. It's not quite as elegant (because of the Palm operating system, you are limited to 15 screens per database, but you can use multiple databases for essentially an unlimited number of screens, and you can put direct-access buttons for your DB's so that you can directly access different DB's from within a particular DB) but it works. I have about 35 screens controlling a TV, front projector, six different source components, and a Proceed AVP.

With the Clie T-series' extended IR range, you shouldn't need any IR enhancement. Mine will operate components from at least 15' away. For $399 + $20 for the software, you've got the potential of the ProntoPro (customizeable buttons, bitmaps, graphics, backgrounds, macros, timers, etc.) along with the ability to download a daily TV listing (using different software) plus all the general-use advantages of a Palm.

If anyone has been thinking about the ProntoPro route, you really should check out this solution first. And if you don't need color, use OR1.2 with a Clie T-415 for the same advantages at about the price of a regular Pronto.
